Who is under the lift

Eighteen years of one bay, now six

We started with a single lift and a rule: say what it costs, then do exactly that. The shop has grown to six bays, but every quote is still written by the mechanic who will do the work. We fit quality parts, keep the old ones for you to see, and phone before doing anything that was not on the quote.

How a job runs

Four stops from diagnosis to keys back

You are told where the car is at every stop, and nothing moves on without your yes.

  1. Check-in and diagnosis

We road-test and scan the car with you at the counter, then note every symptom you describe.

  2. Written quote

You get a fixed price in writing, parts and labour split out, before any work starts.

  3. The repair

A named mechanic does the work and we call you if anything unexpected turns up.

  4. Handover

You get the keys, the old parts and a walk-through of what was done, with the invoice matching the quote.

The promise

Our work is covered, in writing

If it fails, we fix it again free

  • Twelve months, 12,000 miles

Every repair carries parts and labour cover for a year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

  • Price held in writing

If the bill is higher than the written quote, we absorb the difference unless you approved it first.

  • Old parts returned

Ask and we hand back every part we replaced, so you can see it was worn.
