Coats on, bags down

Mornings that start with a wave

A warm welcome at the door, a peg with their name on it, and a keyworker who knows exactly how today should begin.

Who keeps the door

Every child here starts the day the same way: a hello at the door, a coat on a peg, a bag in a cubby. We are a small, parent-run nursery that believes the first five minutes of the morning set the tone for everything after, so we give them our full attention.

Come and see the cloakroom

Pop in at drop-off time and watch a real morning. Bring the little one; we will find them a peg.

What fills the day, room by room

  • Little pegs, ages 0 to 1

A purple crochet teddy bear resting on a soft white blanket

Quiet floor time, gentle routines and a keyworker who learns every cue before you have to explain it.

  • Painting pegs, ages 1 to 2

Vibrant watercolour paints in round trays seen from above

Messy hands, big paper and plenty of aprons. Colours, textures and first marks, with the washing-up done for you.

  • Story pegs, ages 2 to 3

A child sliding through a bright playground tunnel

Circle time, songs and picture books, so first words and first friendships arrive together.

  • Counting pegs, ages 3 to 4

A smiling boy in a bow tie and backpack by a blackboard

Letters, numbers and plenty of why questions, led by play and gentle structure.

  • Garden pegs, ages 4 to 5

Three children on a swing with mountains behind them

Wellies, mud kitchens and long outdoor mornings that wear out legs and warm up brains.

  • Home-time club, after school

Students raising their hands in a bright classroom

A snack, a craft and a quiet corner for homework until you arrive to collect them.

Hooks for every part of the day

What hangs on each peg

Behind every drop-off there is a day to get through. These are the pieces we look after so you can walk back out the door with an easy mind.
  • Hot lunches at the table

Cooked on site, served family-style, with allergies written on the wall where every adult can see them.

A smiling child playing with a toy stethoscope
  • Rest time, soft and unhurried

Mats, blankets and a dimmed room for the little ones who need an afternoon rest.

A newborn sleeping peacefully in a basket with soft blankets
  • Pick-up without the rush

A staff member walks every child to the door and hands over the day in a few words.

A father carrying his child in a wrap with mountains behind
  • Outdoor play, whatever the weather

Rain jackets on the pegs and a garden open every day, because fresh air is part of the plan.

Why parents stay

Home by half past three

Small groups, steady faces and a handover note at every pick-up.

Families tell us the difference is in the small things: the same keyworker at the door each morning, a short word at collection about the day, and a wall of pegs where every child can find their own name. We keep groups small so no coat goes unnoticed and no child goes unseen.
