a small school for small hands

learning starts with one block

Wooden shapes, steady teachers, and a day paced to a child.

Our rooms are set like a tray of well-made things: each child gets a place, a task and an adult who notices. Come and watch an ordinary morning.

the sphere comes first

Before letters and numbers, a child holds a ball and learns that things have a shape, a weight and a way of rolling. We begin there, with the plainest objects, and build every lesson up from them.

how we teach

one cube, one idea, one afternoon

Each afternoon centres on a single idea, small enough to hold in two hands. Teachers set out the materials, step back, and write down what each child did with them. Parents read those notes at pickup.

a room that is calm on purpose
